Meet The Team
Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Director
Katerina Yaroslavsky, RP, BA (Hons), MACP
Imagine waking up every morning feeling like you can take on the world. How great does that feel? I used to wonder if I would ever feel this way myself. Initially pursuing a career in aviation, I experienced growth but I also felt incomplete. I decided to pursue a career as a therapist because I learned that helping others is what I have always dreamed of doing. I feel so privileged to work with courageous people every day who decide they are ready to take on the world.
Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional Psychotherapist can make things better. I care about your well-being and provide you all the tools you need in order to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances.
I specialize in trauma and relationship work with individuals and couples. I am certified in both Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Throughout my life I have always found purpose in coming alongside people in their journeys; engaging with them, identifying their struggle and providing a toolbox for them to achieve their desired goal of wholeness. This goal has led me to pursue specific education; a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Crisis Counselling, Bereavement education through University of Toronto, and my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
My educational pathway has only ignited my passion to help people process their lived experiences and challenges even more. My goal is to collaboratively coach people to discover their own goals and tools to achieve health and wholeness. Brene Brown says: “ You either walk inside your story and own it, or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness”.
I specialize in grief and trauma therapy for individuals and couples.

I have always found Psychology fascinating and knew I wanted to go into a field where I could assist people in need of help. I obtained my undergraduate degree from York University in Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After continuing my education in medical school, I learned I needed to pursue a career that would allow for more interpersonal relationships. This led me to pursue my Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Helping people overcome their struggles, find balance in their lives, and gaining a deeper understanding of the human experience is why I decided to become a therapist.
I look forward to embarking on this journey with you. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and relationship therapy for individuals and couples. I also offer EMDR therapy virtually for clients across Ontario.

Supporting people through life's journeys has always been a passion of mine. I work with individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. My primary focus is supporting teens and young adults and individuals with eating disorders.
I am dedicated to offering comprehensive treatment to those who are struggling with issues around food. I recognize that eating disorders are not always about food but can often be rooted in coping or avoiding discomfort. With a compassionate approach, I work with clients to understand their challenges, getting to the root issues to achieve lasting wellness. I look forward to accompany you on your journey towards healing and personal growth.

For as long as I can remember I have always been motivated to help others, especially in times of need. My interest in learning more about mental health and how to help others started with my own experiences supporting family members through their struggles.
In addition to my Master of Counselling degree, I have completed a Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills training, Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS) training, and advanced training in working with anxiety. My work focuses on helping clients adjust their negative thinking patterns, while also learning how to implement important DBT skills into their everyday lives, such as emotion regulation, and mindfulness.
I truly believe we all have the tools within us to help make our lives happier and more fulfilling, and strive to provide a safe space for clients to speak freely, feel accepted, and listened to. I encourage clients to be an active participant in their own healing growth, and look forward to helping you become the best version of yourself!

Life can be busy, chaotic and filled with changes both good and bad. I took the long road to become a therapist, and through every position I have held in various organizations, I have drawn the same conclusion. Regardless of the person and their personality, the position they hold, or the severity of the problem, everyone needs a helping hand at some point.
I have an Undergraduate degree with distinction in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselling. I have a zeal to heal and offer a supportive space to process thoughts and feelings. A space filled with compassionate understanding, kindness and care.
My ultimate desire is to help make people’s lives easier, happier, and more fulfilled. I believe in the capacity of people to change their lives to better suit their needs. Through the collaboration of the therapeutic process, I aspire to help people pursue their potential.
I am currently completing the practicum portion of my master's degree and benefit from regular clinical supervision.
